Inequalities: Future Challenges

Ever wondered what the connection between #metoo campaigns and the demand to decolonise institutions are? These social movements locate an awareness of how social inequalities are reproduced. Inequalities: Future Challenges will introduce students to core themes of inequality and how this can map onto social differences from a sociological perspective. Students will be introduced to key theoretical concepts and weekly examples to understand social inequality. Subject content with include, but not be limited to how inequality across racialisation processes, class, gender, and sexuality, can be reproduced in society.
