Decoding Democracy

This subject explores quantitative methods with a particular emphasis on their application in democracy research. Students will learn how to use software programs to analyse and visualise data, conduct hypothesis testing, and apply regression analysis to examine relationships between variables. Engaging with illustrative examples from democracy research, students develop the skills to rigorously evaluate quantitative research designs, equipping them for research-led graduate studies or their entry into the workforce. A strong background in mathematics is NOT required for this subject but a willingness to actively participate and learn.
