Gaming Law and Policy

This subject offers students a unique opportunity to develop advanced legislative literacy through a hands-on engagement with statutory and regulatory processes, with a particular focus on gambling law reform. Centred on applied legal skills, the subject situates students within the policy-making environment, critically analysing the interaction between lawmakers, regulators, industry stakeholders, and the public. Students will explore the drivers and constraints of legislative reform, evaluate emerging issues in gaming regulation, and develop proposals responsive to technological, social and commercial developments.
