Foundations: Data & Science of Learning

This subject provides foundational knowledge of assessment, data, and the science of learning, and their utility in informing, evaluating and improving educational practice. Students will draw from psychological, educational, and neuroscientific literature to examine human development across the lifespan and consider the cognitive, social, and motivational aspects of learning. The key role of assessment in informing learning and ensuring assessment fairness for diverse learners will also be explored.
