Literacy and Numeracy in the Curriculum

This subject develops Teacher Candidate’s expertise in the effective teaching of numeracy and literacy, including how to embed the explicit teaching of reading, writing and mathematics in all secondary school subjects, recognising the interrelationship between discipline-based learning, numeracy, language and literacy.
