Professional Practice 3: Lenses of Care

This subject builds on DENT90147 Professional Practice 2: Lifespan care in the Doctor of Dental Surgery Year 2, with a focus on the domains of Social Responsibility and Professionalism, Communication and Leadership, and Health Promotion. The subject will enable students to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours necessary for being able to care for themselves, care for others, and care for the planet. Students will explore evidence-based approaches that address barriers to healthcare, cultural safety, and the impact of poor oral health and care on the planet. Students will also continue to develop strategies that enable them to maintain their own wellbeing. Students will participate in a range of learning activities including online learning modules and seminars.
