Dental Practice 3

This subject will enable students to continue developing their knowledge and practical application of dental care principles, by integrating theoretical learning with patient care in a clinical setting. Students will continue to develop core skills from second year in general practice, periodontics and removable prosthodontics, as well as beginning to apply their knowledge and skills in paediatric dentistry, endodontics and fixed prosthodontics in a supervised clinical setting. The subject will also enable students to continue the development of knowledge and skills in special needs dentistry. Students will spend much of their time in a clinical setting engaging in both patient care and management. Other learning activities include lectures, online learning modules, preclinical activities and seminars.
