Introduction to Medical Technology

Students will explore the fundamental concepts of medical technologies, including safety and risk management, biocompatibility, and systems integration between devices and the human body. Through case studies of devices, such as the cochlear implant, cardiac pacemaker, and deep brain stimulation, students will learn how these technologies are developed to restore or enhance function.
